My Journey at DevHouse
Joining DevHouse in June 2024 marked an important chapter in my professional growth as a software engineer. What started as a role focused on frontend and mobile development quickly evolved into a broader journey that combined engineering, collaboration, and product thinking.
Building Products That Matter
During my time at DevHouse, I worked on multiple real-world platforms that served businesses and users across Iraq. One of the key projects was Hoster.iq, where I contributed to both the website and the mobile application. The goal was to make domain registration and hosting services accessible to local businesses. This project strengthened my experience in building production-ready interfaces, integrating services, and delivering reliable user experiences at scale.
Another major milestone was my work on Taeen, a platform connecting companies with job seekers. Beyond frontend development, my role expanded into coordination across teams. I worked closely with marketing, sales, and product stakeholders to align technical implementation with business needs—helping translate requirements into clear tasks, supporting prioritization, and ensuring features were delivered smoothly and consistently.
I was also involved in other internal and client-facing projects, where I contributed to designing, developing, and optimizing web and mobile applications with a strong focus on performance, clean architecture, and maintainability.
Growing Beyond Code
DevHouse gave me the opportunity to grow beyond writing code. I regularly collaborated with cross-functional teams, participated in code reviews, and helped improve development workflows. I learned how to balance technical quality with delivery speed, work within Agile processes, and think about products not just as features—but as solutions to real business problems.
This environment helped me strengthen my problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work across disciplines—skills that became especially valuable as I took on more responsibility and ownership in projects.
A Thoughtful Ending
In January 2026, DevHouse made the decision to shift fully toward the marketing side and close its software department. While it marked the end of my journey there, it was a transition made with clarity and respect for the work we had built.
I'm grateful for the experience, the people, and the trust I was given during my time at DevHouse. It played a key role in shaping my technical foundation, my coordination skills, and my perspective as an engineer who values collaboration as much as clean code.
Looking Forward
As I move forward, I carry with me the lessons, challenges, and wins from DevHouse. The journey reinforced my interest in building scalable products, working closely with teams, and continuously growing as a frontend-focused software engineer.
DevHouse will always be an important part of my story—and a chapter I'm proud of.
